Squally snow for a few early.
TV10 Crested Butte and Gunnison Valley Daily Weather Update: 2/21/12 For Today: This unorganized pattern is living up to expectations with regional radar showing pockets of northern moisture diving south early. We will see mixed conditions with squally showers dropping 3-6” down low and much more up high. Expect gusting winds to limit visibility and create dangerously cold windchills.
Temperatures: Overnights lows hit 8 degrees at midnight and then climbed back to the mid teens this morning with the snow. Highs will hold to 21 for Crested Butte and 24 for Gunnison with colder windchills. Lows tonight will be colder in the single digits or below if we see clearing.
Outlook: A northern stream of moisture will be dropping into Colorado through the week. Models are keeping the brunt to our north but we can expect snow in varied degrees dropping a couple inches at a time. These will be hard to predict so pack layers as you head out and stay tuned for changes.
