TV10 Crested Butte and Gunnison Valley Daily Weather Update: 2/14/12 For Today: Happy Valentine’s Day. The gap between pacific waves has closed and we are seeing snow early that will continue through tonight. We have lost some of the organization but picked up some dynamics with cold air pushing down from the north. Expect squally showers hampering travel with another 4-8” possible.

Temperatures: Overnight lows were insulated by the cloud cover with Crested Butte reporting 15 degrees and 19 for Gunnison. Highs today will hold to 29 for CB and 31 for Gunny. Look for colder lows tonight as clouds thin and cold air pushes us down to right around 0.

Outlook: A dirty western flow will have us in snow showers through Wednesday with skies clearing by Thursday on the divide but sooner to the south. Pacific systems are stacking in the west and we could see another big snow event later in the weekend but we’ll have to see how the pattern shakes out.
