The old one two.

TV10 Crested Butte and Gunnison Valley Daily Weather Update: 1/16/12 For Today: The one two punch we were looking for has fallen into place with the warmer southern portion of this system kicking in early. Look for gusting winds and milder temperatures early to give way to the second phase of this combo as the cold front from the north drops in this afternoon. With the convective help through the afternoon we are on track for 8-12” down low and much more up high.

Temperatures: The milder southern influence kept lows warm with Crested Butte reporting 22 degrees and 23 for Gunnison. Highs will climb to 28 for CB and 30 for Gunny but will drop as the day progresses. Look for cold lows tonight as skies clear dropping to the negative teens.

Outlook: This more zonal pattern will hold through the week with temperatures warming under sunny skies through Wednesday but by Wednesday afternoon the next round of pacific moisture will move in. This storm is still developing so stay tuned throughout the week.
