TV10 Crested Butte and Gunnison Valley Daily Weather Update: 1/15/12 For Today: Get out early for the sunniest conditions because we are headed for some changes that will start with high clouds building through the day. By tonight a southern wave will be lifting into our area marking the start of a much different and more encouraging weather pattern.

Temperatures: Overnight lows warmed a bit with Crested Butte reporting 2 and -2 for Gunnison. Highs today will hit 36 for CB and 37 for Gunny before the cloud cover rolls in. Lows tonight will be warmer as the cloud cover builds.

Outlook: The perfect scenario of tropical southern moisture lifting into cold from the north is starting to fall into place and suddenly a weak system is looking a lot more encouraging. Look for snow starting tonight and continuing through Monday with a marked change in attitude. Temperatures will drop through Monday with cold windchills and blowing snow conditions worth being prepared for.
