TV10 Crested Butte and Gunnison Valley Daily Weather Update: 1/5/12 For Today: Clear skies are going to continue to hold early but look for high clouds building through the day. Expect some light breezes but we should have another mostly sunny and mild day on tap.

Temperatures: Overnight lows dropped to 5 degrees for Gunnison and were warmer in Crested Butte at 10 degrees. Highs today will hit 42 for CB and hold to 40 for Gunny with a weak valley inversion. Look for lows again tonight in the single digits.

Outlook: A more zonal pattern will develop in the west as the next pacific wave moves on shore. We can expect increased cloudiness through Friday with a swing at snow on Saturday afternoon and overnight. This still looks pretty weak but it’s moving in on more of a southern trajectory and this change is encouraging. Start wishing.
