TV10 Crested Butte and Gunnison Valley Daily Weather Update: 12/30/11 For Today: High clouds early will be thickening through the day with snow showers possible for the higher terrain and northend of the valley by the afternoon and continuing into tomorrow. High winds will be the most impressive feature with this developing system so layer up and expect mild temperatures but colder windchills.

Temperatures: Overnight lows were warm with Crested Butte reporting 24 degrees and Gunnison dropping to 21. Highs will climb to 40 for CB and 42 in Gunny. Lows tonight will stay mild with the cloud cover in the mid to high teens.

Outlook: We will have a swing at a little snow through Saturday morning but with little more than an inch or two possible from this blown out system. High winds will move it through quickly with high pressure settling in on it’s heals and offering mild and sunny conditions through the beginning of the week.
