TV10 Crested Butte and Gunnison Valley Daily Weather Update: 12/24/11 For Today: High pressure has set up and sunny skies will dominate with the valley inversion keeping temperatures cold through the day. We will see a slight warm up from yesterday but expect ridges and higher elevations to be much warmer than the lower valleys.

Temperatures: Overnight lows dropped under the clear skies to -7 for Crested Butte and -5 for Gunnison. Highs will climb by a couple degrees with CB reaching 24 degrees but Gunny will hold at 22. Look for another cold clear night with lows in the negative single digits.

Outlook: The systems currently moving into the northwest will blow apart and offer just some isolated cloud cover through next week unless we see some big changes. In the shorter term look for temperatures to warm significantly through Christmas and the beginning of the week with some beautiful sunny days on tap.
