TV10 Crested Butte and Gunnison Valley Daily Weather Update: 12/21/11 For Today: Cloud cover starting to build this morning will thicken as a northern wave drops south into our area. Look for snow showers starting on the higher terrain pushing down the valley with the National Weather Service calling for 3-5” overnight.

Temperatures: Overnight lows dropped to 0 for Crested Butte and 1 for Gunnison. Highs will be moderated by the cloud cover but will reach 28 degrees for CB and 31 for Gunny. Look for warmer lows tonight with the snow in the low teens.

Outlook: The moisture is limited with this system but the snow will be enhanced by a cold front pushing it in. We will be lucky to get the snow the National Weather Service is calling for but it’s that time of year. Look for high pressure and very cold temperatures developing Thursday night and holding into the weekend.
