TV10 Crested Butte and Gunnison Valley Daily Weather Update: 12/16/11 For Today: Residual cloud cover will offer some partly cloudy conditions but these high clouds will clear early. Look for clear and sunny conditions holding through the afternoon but layer up today because it will stay chilly.

Temperatures: Overnight lows dropped under the clear skies and with the fresh snow cover with Crested Butte reporting -6 degrees. Highs will rebound slowly with a valley inversion keeping it chilly with CB topping out at 30 degrees and 32 for Gunny. Look for another cold night with lows at or just below 0.

Outlook: A glancing blow from a system will offer some increased cloud cover through Sunday but clear skies will hold otherwise. Expect temperatures to warm to the mid 30’s but highs will stay cold through the beginning of the week. Our next swing at snow will hold off until next week.
