The sun is back.
TV10 Crested Butte and Gunnison Valley Daily Weather Update: 12/15/11 For Today: We have some residual cloud cover that will offer partly cloudy pockets today but we have entered a gap between pacific systems in the west that will keep us in sunny skies through the weekend. Temperatures will rebound to seasonal norms but the scattered cloud cover will make it worth carrying a layer today.
Temperatures: Overnight lows were split with Crested Butte dropping to -2 degrees while Gunnison stayed warmer at 14 degrees. Highs will climb to seasonal norms with CB topping out at 31 degrees and 34 for Gunny. Look for another cold clear night with temperatures valley wide dropping to around 0.
Outlook: Moisture is starting to stack in the pacific but we are just not seeing the organization and dynamics necessary to turn these systems into snowmakers. We will see sunny skies holding into the beginning of next week when another pacific wave will develop but models are still working on where it’s headed.
