Clouds early with snow on the way.

TV10 Crested Butte and Gunnison Valley Daily Weather Update: 12/12/11 For Today: We are seeing high clouds early as this southern system starts to lift into the area. Look for clouds to thicken with snow by the afternoon continuing overnight with a couple inches possible by tomorrow morning.

Temperatures: Overnight lows were milder with the clouds holding at 4 degrees for Crested Butte and 5 degrees for Gunnison. Highs will be warm with the southern flow hitting 34 degrees valley wide. Look for lows tonight around 10 degrees or the lower teens.

Outlook: This southern flow is starting to get more organized and we are seeing some snow potential but the dynamics are still hit or miss. Look for snow through Wednesday night with a combination of the southern flow and wrap around moisture. Without changes we’ll be limited to the 6” range by Wednesday but there is more potential there so do the snow dance.
