TV10 Crested Butte and Gunnison Valley Daily Weather Update: 12/7/11 For Today: We are starting out warmer than yesterday so look for highs to creep a few degrees warmer but this valley inversion will keep us below normal. Look for ridges and higher elevations to rebound faster while the lowest river valleys stay cold. Pack layers as you head out.

Temperatures: Overnight lows showed the inversion with Gunnison dropping to -6 while Crested Butte held to -4. Highs will depend on elevation but CB will top out at 20 in town and Gunny will reach 24. Look for more cold lows tonight inching a little closer to 0.

Outlook: This inversion seems to be breaking a little faster than expected but cold clear conditions will hold into the weekend. Different elevations will feel significantly different so pack layers and plan accordingly.
