Going to get cold.

TV10 Crested Butte and Gunnison Valley Daily Weather Update: 12/4/11 For Today: The end of this latest pacific system will offer snow showers throughout the day with another couple inches up high and less for the valleys. The bigger weather feature will be a strong pocket of cold air moving into the area keeping highs cold today and opening the door to a very cold week.

Temperatures: Overnight lows dropped to 10 degrees for Crested Butte and 17 degrees for Gunnison. Highs won’t see much movement as the cold air settles in with CB topping out at 16 degrees and 20 for Gunny. Lows tonight will drop to the single digits or lower if skies clear.

Outlook: Remnants from this latest system will clear through Monday morning but even the sun returning won’t help with the cold we are expecting for the beginning of the week. Look for highs of around 10 degrees and overnight lows dropping to the negative teens. These super cold temperatures will combine with some gusting winds for dangerously low windchills.
