December is bringing some changes.
TV10 Crested Butte and Gunnison Valley Daily Weather Update: 12/1/11 For Today: Regional radar is showing moisture spreading across the area early but there is a lack of organization that will limit snowfall. Look for mostly cloudy conditions all day with gusting winds building into the afternoon and snow showers offering just an inch or two max.
Temperatures: Overnight lows dropped to 23 degrees for Crested butte and the reporting station at the airport is down but Gunnison was likely a degree or two colder. Highs today will stay cold topping out at 29 for CB and 31 for Gunny as this cold front moves in. Look for lows tonight in the single digits for all elevations.
Outlook: Waves of pacific moisture are moving quickly through the west and then stalling on the divide. The result is an unorganized and changing pattern that will offer snow in varied degrees through Saturday night with gusting winds complicating travel. Accumulations will be limited to a couple inches but we could get lucky.
