For 7/15/10: For Today: The high pressure ridge has set up to our south and opened the door for the hot dry conditions from the west. We will see clear skies through most of the day but look for some big popcorn cloud formations building over the higher terrain by the afternoon.

Temperatures: Lows were warm valley wide with Crested Butte reporting 44 degrees and 46 for Gunnison. Highs will start the super warm climb today with Crested Butte reaching 77 degrees while Gunnison hits 87. Look for more mild lows tonight with all elevations holding to the mid 40’s.

Outlook: Hot and dry will be our dominant features through the end of the week and the weekend with that southern plume holding well to our south and east. Be sure to have plenty of water available and be prepared for the hot temperatures.
