Moisture's building but sunny to start.

For 7/7/10: For Today: Regional radar is showing increased moisture early through eastern Utah that will spread into our area through the day. Precipitable water levels are still fairly low so look for mostly sunny skies to give way to isolated thundershowers later in the day that will produce more wind than rain before clearing tonight.

Temperatures: Lows were up a couple degrees with Crested Butte reporting 37 degrees and 39 degrees for Gunnison. Highs today will be steady with what we have been seeing with 70 degrees expected for CB and 78 degrees for Gunnison but it will feel cooler with gusting winds and cloud cover. Look for another couple degrees of warming again tonight with all elevations hovering right around the 40 degree mark.

Outlook: Precipitable water levels will increase steadily through the end of the week with that southern plume lifting into the area. Expect stronger afternoon cells Thursday through Saturday before we see a drier pattern build next week. The monsoon is almost officially on us so be prepared.
