More sunny skies and warming temperatures.

For 6/21/10: For Today: We have seen almost no change in the western weather patter through the last few days and this high pressure ridge is continuing to hold strong. We will see another day a lot like yesterday with sunny skies and breezy conditions giving way to some spotty cloud cover by the afternoon.

Temperatures: Lows were a couple degrees cooler than Saturday night with Crested Butte dropping to 34 degrees and 35 degrees for Gunnison. Daytime highs will look just like yesterday with the northend of the valley holding at 71 degrees and Gunnison pushing towards 80. Lows tonight will continue to hold right around 35 degrees for all elevations and should hold above freezing but you may want to cover fragile plants.

Outlook: We are starting to see some changes in the long term forecast with the subtropical plume brewing in the south. Skies will remain sunny through the middle of the week but convective afternoon thundershowers will potentially build Thursday if we see some movement in the south. Until then enjoy these beautiful conditions.
