More weather early.

For 6/14/10: For Today: The larger portion of this low pressure trough has cleared the area but wrap around moisture continues to offer bands of thundershowers that will keep our day active. Regional radar is showing a line of cells working through to our area early which will have us in rain and thundershowers before noon with more isolated showers expected later in the day as temperatures warm. Today is the day of transition so stay prepared.

Overnight lows were cold again with Crested Butte reporting 32 degrees and Gunnison holding to 34 degrees. Daytime highs will warm to the low 60’s for the north and high 60’s for Gunnison but with continued clouds and gusting winds. Skies are slated to clear tonight which will allow for colder lows dipping below freezing so be sure to address fragile plants and flowers.

We will see a significant improvement in our weather this week with temperatures returning to normal through Tuesday and sunnier skies holding into the end of the week. Models continue to waffle on moisture by Thursday but it will be a glancing blow at best.
