Another great day on tap.
For 6/9/10: For Today: A low pressure trough dropping into the west is bringing cooler temperatures and drawing more of the warm dry air up from the southwest. Winds will increase but we can expect more hot and mostly sunny conditions with just some cloud cover building through the afternoon.
Lows have remained consistent with this warm dry air with Crested Butte reporting 42 degrees this morning and Gunnison just a degree warmer at 43 degrees. Daytime highs will climb to the mid to low 70’s for the north end of the valley while Gunnison again hits 80 degrees but it will feel cooler with the gusting winds. Look for more lows tonight in the low 40’s again valley wide.
Conditions will stay pretty consistent through Thursday but by Friday we will see cooler air and a swing at some convective thundershowers for the weekend. It’s nothing too threatening but it will be a change you may want to plan for.
