High clouds but it's going to be hot again.

For 6/7/10: For Today: Moisture lifting through New Mexico will stay clear of our area but has introduced high clouds early and the interaction of the systems will produce some windy conditions through the day. These super warm conditions will hold with temperatures only moderated by the high clouds and the winds gusting consistently to 20mph.

Lows were right on par with what we have been seeing with Crested Butte reporting 43 degrees and Gunnison continuing to stay warmer at 46 degrees. Daytime highs will once again climb to the mid to high 70’s for the higher elevations while the lower valleys crest 80 degrees. Lows tonight will hold around 40 again but may be warmer if the high clouds hold.

The easier to predict zonal pattern is starting to fall apart in the west and the combination of the wetter southern flow and a trough brewing in the west will make for variables by the end of the week. Until then expect an increase of the wind and areas of heavier cloud cover. So far moisture remains limited but this could change.
