Another hot sunny day on the way.
For 6/6/10: For Today: We are waking up to another mostly sunny morning with just a few high clouds. We will see the same hot and sunny conditions through most of the day with winds lighter than yesterday but look for the same clouds building over the higher terrain through the heat of the day. There is little to no available moisture but carrying a layer might be a good idea for adventures to the high country.
Lows were warm again under this southern flow even with the clear skies with Crested Butte reporting 42 degrees and Gunnison holding higher at 44 degrees. Daytime temperatures will be in the mid 70’s valley wide with the lower valleys threatening 80 degrees before the day is done. We can expect more of these warm overnight lows hovering on 40 or above.
Hot and dry will continue to dominate the forecast through the beginning of the week with little by way of changes until Wednesday. Even then models are waffling so enjoy these incredible days and get outside on the big adventure.
