A great start to an incredible day.
For 6/4/10: For Today: The zonal pattern continues to hold and the cloud cover has lifted further to the north opening us up for much sunnier skies and warmer conditions. As evidenced by the blue skies this morning, we are in for a beautiful day with conditions holding through the weekend. Look for some high clouds building into the heat of the day with the higher terrain and divide offering the most potential for an isolated shower.
Overnight lows were warmer than we have been seeing with Crested Butte reporting 38 degrees this morning while Gunnison slipped a degree lower to 37 degrees. Daytime highs will rebound quickly with the high 60’s expected for the higher terrain while the lower valleys heat to the low 70’s. Tonight will be a lot like last night with the high 30’s expected valley wide.
Above normal temperatures and sunny skies will hold through the weekend as we stay to the drier side of this zonal pattern. The heat will activate some cloud cover through the afternoons and drainage winds will blow up lighter breezes but we have some incredible conditions on tap.
