A mix of sun and clouds early.
For 6/3/10: For Today: We are continuing to see this pacific moisture holding to our north but just enough cloud cover is sagging over our area to offer at least party cloudy conditions. Look for this to continue through today with an isolated thundershower over the higher terrain this afternoon unlikely but still a possibility worth being prepared for.
Overnight lows were warm again with Crested butte reporting 36 degrees and Gunnison dropping a degree lower to 35 degrees. Daytime highs will warm by another couple degrees holding to the low 60’s for the northend of the valley and continuing to push 70 for Gunnison. Look for another night tonight a lot like last night with little change in the conditions.
Models are waffling on the long term forecast as we sit right in between high pressure to the south and these pacific waves to the north. The variable only amounts to levels of cloud cover with no real moisture available so it looks like mostly clear conditions will dominate into the weekend with temperatures continuing to warm.
