High clouds mixing with spotty sunshine.

For 6/2/10: For Today: The weak waves of pacific moisture pushing into the west on this continued zonal pattern are dropping just far enough to the south to introduce high clouds. We can expect to see partly to mostly cloudy conditions today but little to no moisture actually hitting the ground. This will continue through today with slightly less cloud cover tomorrow and much clearer conditions to finish off the week. It won’t hurt to carry a layer today but there is nothing in these clouds to change plans over.

Overnight lows were warmer again thanks to this blanket of clouds with Crested Butte dropping to only 35 degrees and Gunnison holding slightly warmer at 36 degrees. Daytime highs will be moderated by the cloud cover with temperatures ranging from 60 degrees up to 70 for the south. This cloud cover will hold into tonight so look for another warm low in the mid to high 30’s.

All the real moisture is holding above the I-70 corridor and we will just see the cloud cover tapering off through Thursday and Friday. By the weekend we will be back into clear and sunny conditions with very warm temperatures.
