Light clouds but more blue skies.
For 6/1/10: For Today: We are starting to see these weak waves of pacific moisture moving through northern Colorado with regional radar showing a pocket up by Meeker early. These have slipped a little further south than initially forecast. They will stay clear of our area but look for high clouds over the higher terrain through the afternoon with winds gusting to 20mph.
Overnight lows warmed by the expected couple degrees with Crested Butte holding just below the freezing mark at 31 degrees while Gunnison popped to 34 degrees. Daytime highs will hold about the same as yesterday with the higher elevations seeing 65 degrees while the lower valleys climb to 70 degrees. Look for another degree or two added to the overnight lows bringing everyone to just above freezing.
Our extended forecast continues to look dry under the zonal pattern but the northern moisture is creeping a little closer. This won’t do more than offer some areas of cloud cover but it will keep relatively light winds blowing into the weekend.
