Calm and sunny.

For 5/25/10: For Today: Skies cleared through the afternoon yesterday and a warm dry southwestern flow will offer beautiful conditions through the day with only light winds expected. Temperatures will see a 10 to 15 degree rise over yesterday with another good pop into tomorrow. Today will be the calmest day of the week and with the sunny skies you will want to get outside and have some fun.

Overnight lows were cold with the clear skies and dry air dropping to 25 degrees in Gunnison and 24 degrees in Crested Butte. Daytime highs will rebound quickly but only hit the high 50’s and low 60’s thanks to the cold start. Tonight will see lows warming by a few degrees but still hovering on the freezing mark.

This dry slot in the west is expected to hold through Wednesday but a northern system will offer dynamics to get the wind blowing and cue up scattered showers mostly only on the higher terrain but holding through Friday morning. It’s nothing too impressive but will offer some variables that will need to be accounted for.
