More sun early but the spring blow is on.

For 5/23/10: For Today: We are continuing to see this southern flow dominating which will keep us in the milder temperatures but the glancing blow from the northern moisture that we saw yesterday at the north end of the valley could make another appearance through this afternoon. Look for more high gusting winds with cloud cover building into the afternoon. Get out early for the best conditions.

Overnight lows started warm but cooled by this morning with Crested Butte again reporting 35 degrees and Gunnison 37 degrees but the wind offered colder windchills. Daytime highs will climb to the mid to high 60’s again before we see the cloud cover cooling us off but the wind will also keep it chillier. Tonight will be colder with lows dropping back to the freezing mark and below for the higher elevations.

Monday is the big variable for the week as some of this northern moisture sifts to the south and we see calmer conditions allowing for the colder temperatures. Look for a rain snow mix early with skies clearing throughout the day. The rest of the week is looking dry.
