Sunny with some high clouds.

For 5/21/10: For Today: The southwestern flow is set to continue through today and most of the weekend with sunny and warm conditions. The one variable will be the wind which will pick up through today and blow gusts to 50mph through Saturday. This will introduce some cloud cover but there is no moisture and everything will be moving fast. We have not just these couple sunny days on tap but even a couple more through the weekend.

Overnight lows were colder at the north end of the valley with Crested Butte reporting 30 degrees while Gunnison held on the freezing mark at 32 degrees. Daytime highs will continue to climb and all elevations will hit the mid 60 to low 60’s while the lower valleys try to push 70 degrees. Look for warm temperatures tonight as the southern wind increases after midnight.

The extended forecast offers some variables but really only to our north and extreme west. As it stands, we will enjoy beautiful sunny and warm days through Sunday with just the high winds keeping it from being perfect. Definitely get outside but you may want to lash down the lawn furniture before you go too far.
