Sunny and warmer.

For 5/4/10: For Today: This high pressure is holding strong in the west with all the activity brewing well to our north. We will see another significant pop in the temperatures today as this warm air really rolls in with mostly sunny skies dominating all day. This promises to be the nicest day of the week so get outside and have some fun.

Overnight lows are showing this warmer air with all elevations weighing in at 24 degrees. Daytime highs will climb to the 50’s for the higher elevations while Gunnison and the lower valleys flirt with 60 degrees. Tonight will be about on par with last night but it could warm by a couple more degrees.

All the activity in the north will mostly stay to the north but the boundary winds from the southern most edge will cause some wind to blow up through the day. We could hit gusts to 30mph and above by the afternoon but under mostly sunny and warm conditions. We have a beautiful spring day in the works so make some plans.
