Sunny with more high pressure building.

For 4/26 /10: For Today: Lingering remnants and colder air have hung on through the weekend with a final shot of moisture dropping some snow on us last night. This should be the last we see from this wave with a slow increase in temperatures and sunny skies building through the day. High pressure will set up this afternoon and we’ll see a 10-20 degree increase in temperatures by tomorrow with beautiful conditions on tap.

Overnight lows were held in check by the cloud cover and snow dropping to 27 degrees for Crested Butte while Gunnison was clearer and colder at 25 degrees. Daytime highs will climb but lingering cold air will keep us in the high 40’s and low 50’s. Warmer air will be filtering in overnight with the lows climbing to the low 30’s for all elevations.

The western weather pattern is promising another active weather week as the latest round clears through today opening the door for high pressure on Tuesday. The warmer conditions and sunshine will be short lived so get outside because conditions are set to deteriorate again by Thursday.
