Sunny early but a mix in the forecast.
For 4/25/10: For Today: Regional radar is showing a few lingering pockets of moisture moving through Grand Junction this morning that will find our area before noon. These are limited in strength and coverage and will move through the area quickly with the effect limited to isolated snow and rain showers. We can expect large gaps of sunny skies but also be prepared for these isolated pockets of moisture as the tail end of this system really clears the area.
Overnight lows were a little colder than we have been seeing with Crested Butte reporting 24 degrees and 27 degrees for Gunnison but the snow melting off yesterday controlled the potential drop we were expecting. Daytime highs will be limited by the cloud cover but will show another marked increase with the high 40’s or low 50’s likely for all elevations. Tonight will offer another night a lot like last night.
Monday will offer a real change in the pattern with this high pressure ridge setting up and offering clear and sunny conditions through the beginning of the week. Look for temperatures to return to seasonal norms with a couple beautiful days on tap.
