Another nice spring day but changes brewing.
For 4/19/10: For Today: Little has changed in the pattern through the last 24 hours and today will look a lot like yesterday with the same high pressure ridge continuing to hold over our area. Look for clouds building with the heat of the day with some isolated thundershowers possible on the higher terrain. Other than these couple variables it will be another beautiful spring day.
Overnight lows last night were about what we were expecting with Crested Butte reporting 24 degrees while Gunnison dropped to 26 degrees. Daytime highs will find the mid 50’s with a couple degrees higher likely for the south end of the valley. A slight increase in cloud cover tonight could warm temperatures but we will probably see another valley wide low in the 20’s.
Tuesday will mark our day of transition this week with increasing cloud cover throughout the day. By Wednesday we will see high winds and rain as the front of the next pacific round sets up for the end of the week. It’s going to get a little sloppy so enjoy today.
