For 4/10/10: For Today: An active pattern is building for the west this week but we will see one more day of these beautiful high pressure conditions. You will want to get outside and enjoy today though because big changes are brewing and we will start to see the front end of this by tonight. Look for warmer sunny conditions but some cloud cover will build through the heat of the day like yesterday.

Overnight lows were about where we expected warming a couple degrees to 18 degrees for Crested Butte and 20 degrees for Gunnison. Daytime highs will top out in the low 50’s again for all elevations but gusting winds through the afternoon will have it feeling cooler. Look for a much warmer overnight low tonight with the heavy cloud cover building in from the west and a mild southwestern flow.

By this afternoon we will start to see the transition with clouds building over the higher terrain and gusting winds picking up. Tomorrow will bring a mix of conditions with the warmer temperatures likely offering our first taste of mixed precipitation. Bottom line is get outside today and enjoy a beautiful Sunday.
