Nothing but blue skies.
For 3/25/10: For Today: High pressure has set up for the day and we will see beautiful spring conditions with sunny skies and mild temperatures. Take advantage of it because we are headed for some changes by tomorrow with a fresh pacific wave settling in early on Friday. Models are continuing to waffle on the timing and trajectory but now it looks like this will favor areas to the north but still offer snow through Friday and Saturday with a few inches likely every day.
Overnight lows were colder with the clear skies with Crested Butte reporting 5 degrees and Gunnison staying warmer at 9 degrees. Daytime highs will rebound quickly climbing a couple degrees higher than yesterday to the mid to high 30’s. Look for clouds building tonight to moderate lows holding them closer to the 10 degree mark.
The dynamics building behind this next round of moisture could create interesting variables for the Grande Traverse on Friday night. The combination of warm and cold will have a greater effect under the current pattern along the divide and to our north but we will also see a fair amount of snow. Enjoy today and stay tuned for updates as the pattern continues to develop.
