Light snow continuing.
For 3/24/10: For Today: The brunt of this last system stayed to our north with upslope conditions putting the snow over the front range. We will see some wrap around moisture feeding some widely scattered snow showers but nothing measurable. Look for skies to clear through the afternoon leading into a sunny day tomorrow.
Overnight lows were mild with the heavy cloud cover with Crested Butte reporting 16 degrees and Gunnison 15 degrees. Daytime highs will be moderated by the cloud cover but we are starting high so the mid 30’s will be likely valley wide. Overnight lows will be cold tonight with the clearing skies with the single digits or below 0 a real possibility.
Our shot of high pressure will be short lived with skies clouding up Thursday night and another pacific wave building for snow on Friday. This is looking promising with good dynamics but it’s another small system with a hit or miss sweet spot. Stay tuned for updates and layer up for today with some gusting winds likely.
