Beautiful sunny day.

For 3/13/10: For Today: High pressure will be holding strong through most of the day but this ridge will cycle through to the east over the course of the day opening the door for this next round of pacific moisture. We will see mostly sunny skies dominating through the day today with just some light high altitude cloud cover early giving way to high gusting winds and heavier cloud cover overnight. Snow will start overnight and continue into tomorrow.

Overnight lows were warmer than Thursday night with Crested Butte dropping to 6 degrees and 5 degrees for Gunnison. Daytime highs will look a lot like yesterday topping out in the low 30’s for all elevations but it will feel colder this afternoon with increased clouds and some wind. Heavier cloud cover overnight will keep lows right around 10 degrees.

This next round of moisture is lacking the organization to bring us any real heavy snow but it will offer squally showers through tomorrow with 3-5” likely before skies clear into Monday. Layer up as you head out today and expect cooler conditions through the afternoon.
