High pressure and feeling like spring.
For 3/12/10: For Today: This high pressure ridge has moved into the area overnight and we will see mostly sunny conditions dominating through Saturday. We can expect mild daytime highs with just some light cloud cover mixing with the blue bird conditions. By Saturday afternoon we will start to see high clouds with snow expected through Sunday and Monday with this next round of pacific moisture.
Overnight lows were colder last night with the really clear conditions with Crested Butte dropping to 0 this morning and Gunnison was a little warmer at 4 degrees. Daytime highs will rebound quickly under these high pressure conditions with the mid 30’s likely for all elevations. Look for another colder overnight low as skies stay clear dropping right to the 0 mark.
This ridge will cycle clear of the area through Saturday afternoon with snow expected for Sunday and Monday. This next pacific wave will present some good dynamics but will be weakened by it’s general trajectory unless we see some changes in the next 24 hours. For now, enjoy these beautiful conditions and don’t forget plenty of sunscreen.
