Sunny with high clouds.

For 3/3/10: For Today: Models are continuing to shift on their predictions as the western weather pattern continues to change ahead of these systems pushing in our direction. Thursday night now appears to present the best chance at accumulation but this storm’s performance may be stunted by it’s own energy with high gusting winds moving it through quicker than we would like. Until then look for high clouds to mix with sunshine with more mostly sunny conditions.

Overnight lows were a little warmer than expected with some cloud cover with Crested Butte holding at 7 degrees and Gunnison dropping to 1 degrees this morning. Daytime highs may be slightly moderated by the increased high clouds but look for the low 30’s for all elevations again. Overnight lows tonight will look a lot like last night in the single digits.

Layer up today with this mix of sun and high clouds but expect more pretty mild conditions. Changes are happening slower than expected but we will see snow by Thursday night.
