An early taste of spring.
For 3/2/10: For Today: We are continuing to see the same weak dynamics in the western weather pattern with this high pressure ridge holding strong and the pacific moisture only slowly creeping into our area. Models are backing off the prediction of snow by Wednesday and pushing it back to Thursday with these mostly sunny conditions holding a little longer. Temperatures are slated to stay above normal so enjoy this early taste of spring.
Overnight lows dropped back towards 0 with Crested Butte reporting 3 degrees and Gunnison dropping to -2 degrees. Daytime highs will reach the low 30’s again for all elevations with this trend continuing for the next couple days. Look for another overnight low a lot like last night with all elevations at or below 0.
Thursday night will now present our best chance at accumulations but there are still a number of changes that could effect this as the pattern continues to change. Get outside and enjoy these beautiful days and don’t forget your sunscreen.
