Snow has fizzled with a little sun mixing in.

For 2/25/10: For Today: This latest round of pacific moisture has moved through overnight with little snowfall and weak dynamics. We will see some snow lingering through the rest of the day focused mostly on the divide and higher terrain with squally cells dropping another inch or two before skies really clear. By tonight the ridge from the west will have settled in with clear and sunny conditions dominating through tomorrow.

Overnight lows were about where we were expecting with the snow with Crested Butte reporting 8 degrees while Gunnison dropped to 0. Daytime highs will climb under a mix of sun and snow showers to the high teens and low 20’s. By tonight much clearer conditions will mean much colder temperatures with all areas dropping to below 0 and potentially to the negative teens.

As the tail end of this latest round clears the area it will mean a mix of conditions. Temperatures will be warmer than yesterday but you will want to layer up to account for changes. Our next best chance for snow will come on Saturday with the next round of pacific moisture.
