More clear blue skies for today.
For 12/18/09: For Today: This high pressure ridge is continuing to hold strong over the west and we will see more scattered cloud cover but mostly sunny conditions will be dominating. Temperatures will warm a couple degrees but all the same components are still in place as yesterday so look for the weather to play out similarly.
Overnight lows were cold again last night losing any gains from the night before with Crested Butte reporting -4 degrees and Gunnison -11 degrees. Daytime highs will climb to the mid 20’s for the higher elevations while Gunnison and the lower valleys continue to hover around the higher teens. Look or another cold low tonight as the clear skies continue.
The next big change in the western weather pattern will hold off until the beginning of next week as a pacific wave moves into the west. Models currently keep this to the north but we are a ways out and a small shift will push it further south. Get out and enjoy another beautiful day and don’t forget your sunscreen.
