Another day under this high pressure ridge.

For 11/30/09: For Today: The high pressure that set up yesterday will continue to hold strong for today with another round of clear blue skies and mild temperatures expected. We will see some spotty cloud cover but nothing to really pollute the blue skies. By tomorrow afternoon we will start to see some changes but the day will remain on the sunny side.

Overnight lows were colder than we have been seeing with the clearer skies with Crested Butte reporting 6 degrees this morning and Gunnison coming in a couple degrees colder at 3 degrees. Daytime highs will rebound quickly with the sunny skies with highs reaching the high 30’s or low 40’s depending on your elevation. Tonight will offer more cold clear conditions with more lows in the single digits.

The pocket of high pressure will hold over the southwest through the beginning of the week with more moisture posturing in the north. This system is set to drop down to the front range and loop back around for other areas of Colorado. This is not generally a productive pattern for us so more wind than snow will be likely through the middle of the week.
