A little cloud cover but still sunny.
For 11/25/09: For Today: Remnants from the last northern system are cycling through the area offering high cloud cover but skies will remain mostly sunny with high pressure from the west set to move in for Thanksgiving. Look for skies to clear throughout the day with milder temperatures setting up and a string of sunny days that will stretch into Friday before we see any variables developing for the weekend.
Overnight lows were cold again with the mostly clear skies with Crested Butte dropping to 1 degree while Gunnison was even colder just dipping below 0 to -1 degree. Daytime highs will rebound slowly with the highs expected to just top 30 degrees holding in the low 30’s valley wide. Overnight lows will be just a bit warmer with this western system but will still likely hold in the single digits.
Models are continuing to offer conflicting solutions for the end of the week and the weekend. It’s looking like the system that will follow the western high pressure will split to the north and south but we’ll have to see how that develops through the next 48 hours. Until then enjoy more sunny skies.
