More blue bird condition dominating.
For 11/1/09: For Today: The high pressure feeding into our area from the west has produced a gap of mild conditions that will dominate through the week and into next weekend. We will see mostly sunny skies all day today with temperatures climbing another couple degrees higher than initially forecast. A glancing low from a northern system will hold well clear of the area but may produce some gusting winds and high clouds through the afternoon but that’s it for potential variables.
Overnight lows were consistent with what we have been seeing the past couple nights with Crested Butte reporting 18 degrees this morning while Gunnison was a couple degrees colder at 16 degrees. Daytime highs will rebound quickly with the sunny skies hitting 50 for Crested Butte and 56 for Gunnison. Look for another overnight low in the teens for all elevations.
This high pressure ridge is forecast to hold strong all week with just some light high altitude cloud cover from the north offering the only pollution to what will otherwise be perfect blue bird conditions. As usual stay prepared for all conditions but there are little to no variables to this pattern.
