Clear and sunny.

For 10/17/09: For Today: We have seen no change in the high pressure ridge that has set up over our area and we can expect clear and sunny conditions holding into Sunday. We will see some high clouds building over the higher terrain on Sunday but skies will remain mostly clear all day. This unseasonably warm weather shot will make for a great window of Indian summer conditions so definitely get outside.

Overnight lows were cold again under the clear skies with Crested Butte reporting 24 degrees and Gunnison holding at 25 degrees. Daytime highs will rebound quickly under the clear skies with highs in the 60’s valley wide. Look for another cold clear night tonight dropping to the low 20’s for all elevations.

High pressure will remain the dominant weather feature through the weekend with Monday offering the day of transition. A quick shot of northern moisture will return us to a more seasonal pattern but sunshine is slated to return by the end of the week. We have an incredible weekend on tap so definitely make some plans and get outside.
