A Blue Bird Start.
For 10/16/09: For Today: Clearing skies through yesterday afternoon were the indication that this high pressure was really on the way and we are waking up to beautiful conditions this morning. Look for any residual high clouds to clear early with sunny skies expected to dominate through the weekend with above normal temperatures making it an incredible time to get outside.
Overnight lows were much colder as we expected once the clouds cleared with Crested Butte reporting 23 degrees and Gunnison not far behind at 24 degrees. Daytime highs will rebound quickly under the sunny skies with 55 degrees expected for Crested Butte while Gunnison flirts with the 60’s. Look for another cold overnight low with the clear skies holding dropping to the 20’s valley wide and threatening the teens.
Clear and sunny will be the name of the game through the weekend with this high pressure ridge holding strong. By Monday a glancing blow from a northern cold front will bring us back to the seasonal norms so definitely plan to get outside and have some fun this weekend.
