Feeling like winter.
For 10/7/09: Another cold and clear morning today with some snow still present in the high country. A closed low over southern California today is putting us under a southwest flow. Watch for clouds to creep in today with the possibility of rain and snow showers beginning this afternoon and tonight. Expect southwest winds 5-10 mph and a high temp today in the mid-50’s. Most of the moisture today will be confined to the San Juan Mountains. By tonight and tomorrow expect chance of showers to increase as the trough approaches and flow tightens. Thursday will generally be sucky with mostly cloudy skies, rain and snow showers and southwest winds 10-15 mph. Watch for highs tomorrow only to reach the low to mid 40’s. Watch for a clearing trend to begin Friday with trough passage. The flow turns northwest and temperatures will remain cool with highs only in the 40’s throughout the weekend. The northwest flow will carry moisture to our north and we will see mostly sunny skies with some scattered clouds and wind from this system on Saturday with a chance for showers again on Sunday. BR
