Another cold clear night.
For 8/10/09: This cold front to the north has continued to combine with the dry air in the west keeping us in cool and clear conditions. This trend will continue into the beginning of this week with the dry high pressure holding over our area but warmer temperatures will creep back into the area making it feel a lot more like summer again.
Overnight lows once again plummeted under the clear skies with Crested Butte reaching 31 degrees and Gunnison holding right in step also dropping to 31 degrees. Daytime highs will climb a couple degrees a day through the middle of the week with all elevations in the 70’s for today. Look for another cold clear night but overnight lows will also warm out of the freezing range.
Dry high pressure will be our dominant weather feature through the beginning of the week with Wednesday offering the first clouds we will see and Thursday the first chance of any isolated thundershowers. After that models differ on the outcome into the weekend so take advantage of these incredible conditions and get outside.
