Another Blue Bird Morning.

For 5/29/09: With little movement in the pattern and the moisture continuing to hold we will see another day today that will look a lot like yesterday. Sunny skies early will mean a quick rebound in daytime temperatures which will work off this moisture creating another round of convective storms. Expect gusting winds and isolated showers that you will want to prepare for.

More clear skies overnight allowed temperatures to drop below the freezing mark in Crested Butte to 31 degrees this morning while Gunnison stayed a little warmer at 38 degrees. Daytime highs will climb back to the low 60’s before we see the heavier cloud cover build over the higher terrain with another colder clear night expected.

This pattern will continue to hold into the weekend with a weak system out of Baja potentially fortifying the dwindling moisture offering thicker cloud cover and more rain but we’ll have to see how this develops. Get an early start on all big adventures or projects today and pack some layers to be prepared.
