Nothing but clear blue skies early.

For 4/21/09: High pressure is continuing to hold over the area and we will see more clear and sunny conditions early. Look for the same slight build up of cloud cover through the afternoon with just enough moisture available for the clouds to form.

Temperatures are staying steady for the overnight lows with Crested Butte reporting 23 degrees while Gunnison held to 25 degrees. We will rebound quickly under these clear skies with another very warm day on tap with the 50’s and even low 60’s possible. This warm trend will hold through the end of the week with temperatures holding above seasonal norms into the weekend.

Today will be the clearest day of the week but we will still see those clouds building over the higher terrain with the heat of the day. Warmer temperatures will mean more wind so look for gusts to run a little stronger today than yesterday. We have another beautiful spring day on tap so definitely get out and enjoy the sunny skies and warm temperatures.
